The Arrival

     The Arrival is an interesting comic to me at least for the fact that its the first wordless comic i had ever read. the fact that it didn't have words and let the spectacular artwork do the talking for it is its biggest strength, if words were put into the comic it wouldn't have been a strong read. i think that the theme was about a man going to the new world and trying to integrate 9n this new world is much better told visually because in some ways the reader can relate to the main character in some way. everyone has been the new kid at one point and having to try to learn how differently things work in a new place can be confusing and often is scary, but we can relate to the character visually because the images were so expertly done, that we the reader can fill in the conversations for ourselves and come to understand the story for better or worse in our own way.
